Americans Deserve a Transparent Fed

The Wall Street Journal just released an opt-ed coauthored by Senator Jim DeMint and Congressman Ron Paul entitled Americans Deserve a Transparent Fed.

Does this mean that DeMint will eventually end up supporting Rand Paul? After all, Rand Paul, like his father and Senator Jim Bunning, has been arguing for transparency in the Federal Reserve for his entire campaign and longer with his Kentucky Taxpayer Group.

Feel free to send them an e-mail letting them know Rand Paul is on his side on this issue.

The Fed is So Retro (Not in a Cool Way)

Speaking of the Federal Reserve, Wendy Macy has an excellent video of some of her interviews thoughts and research on this issue in relation to the Rand Paul campaign:

The last time we saw double-digit inflation was in the late 70s and early 80s. Although inflation isn’t on a lot of people’s minds right now, it could be right around the corner. The Federal Reserve has increased the monetary base to unprecedented levels, and if that money works its way through the system, we will have inflation.

Senate candidates Rand Paul and Peter Schiff are speaking out on the danger of the Fed’s monetary policies.

Rand has an excellent explanation of how the Federal Reserve manipulating interest rates caused the housing bubble and the current economic mess towards the end of part 1 -- beginning of part 2. Well worth watching.

Trey Grayson has issues now

Well, it looks like you don't need to read Trey Grayson for Senate, or Join Trey Grayson to find out what he believes in anymore. He's just updated his website. And just think, it only took him 181 days to get an issue on his website.

He even supports auditing the the central bank -- i.e., The Federal Reserve!

Of course, I think people are going to find that hard to believe considering the money he's been raising has been coming from bankers and Senators who voted for the bank bailout.

Basically, from the issues on his site, it looks like Trey Grayson is parroting Dr. Rand Paul.

I know this can be irritating to Rand supporters, but in reality this means we've already won. Whether Rand Paul actually beats Trey Grayson in the primary -- we've forced the establishment to pander to pro-liberty, free market, Constitutionalists beliefs. In order to pander, the establishment now has at least pretend to push policy into a more conservative direction. Which means it'll probably go that way somewhat.

Of course we'd all prefer to have the real deal instead of a poser -- so we can push policy towards freedom fast and hard instead of "somewhat." So we still need to make sure Rand Paul wins. Help him win, by helping him raise another $1 Million this quarter. He needs some pledges at This November 5th if you want to help out with another "money bomb."

***Update***
The Paul Campaign followed up on this themselves, "Grayson grumbled at Rand for daring to criticize the Bailout Senators funding Trey’s campaign."
So it was funny on Tuesday to see Grayson change strategies and start talking on his web site about — you guessed it — promoting balanced budgets, free market health reform, stronger national defense, and auditing the Federal Reserve.
