Such an unequivocal pro-life stance has not been seen historically from Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson. Kentucky Right to Life groups have been divided about Grayson, the Northern Kentucky Right to Life declining to endorse him, while a hometown Right to Life, did.
Doubts about Grayson's pro-life bona fides may arise from his political work as a Democrat in the 1990's and his support of Bill Clinton for President. Also, Grayson has not been particularly vocal about his commitment to Life. Read the rest.
Update:
Concerned Women of America PAC officially endorses Rand Paul!

ReplyDeleteRand Paul has, from the very beginning, articulated his positions on all the major and even the not so major issues. Even as early as when he first announced an exploratory committee, Rand Paul's website had a good breakdown where he stood on all the major issues.
ReplyDeleteBy doing this, Rand Paul has established himself as the only credible voice in the Kentucky Republican primary.
On the other hand, Trey Grayson seems to be plagued by an inability to take a stand on any issues. This MUST be held against him when months down the road he attempts to take positions on anything. Was he THAT UNCONCERNED about all issues to wait months into the primary to finally wet his finger to test which way the political wind may be blowing to finally take a stand. That is, if he ever gets around to issues. As far as I'm concerned, Trey's failure to articulate his stance on any issues has totally blown any credibility on the positions he may finally take after being cornered on them repeatedly.
I don't think that Google will refence the trackback, but I wanted to let you know I linked to your blog: http://redstateeclectic.typepad.com/redstate_commentary/2009/10/rand-paul-throws-down-the-prolife-gauntlet.html
ReplyDeleteAwesome.
ReplyDeleteI used to read Red State Eclectic back during the Ron Paul campaign.
I'll need to start doing that again I guess :)
I'm honored.
